Following recent concerns raised about the increased level of litter and detritus in the village, the Parish Council and NWLDC have been proactively looking at an action plan to address this on-going matter.

4 July 2018, 2.00pm: Travellers arrived on to Bentley Road open space. The Parish Council received a number of complaints and subsequently contacted the local authority Traveller Laision Officer (LCC) and the Police to put in place the necessary measures for them to vacate the area as swiftly as possible.

Community Litter pick
1st Castle Donington Brownies undertook a litter pick as part of their challenge badge "Plastic free planet". The girls managed to pick the equivalent of a wheelie bin of rubbish from the central area and Moira Dale playing fields, including a large number of plastic containers.
