Castle Donington Parish Council is aware of the travellers moving into the Bentley Road/Merchantman Mews area. It has contacted the Police and Leicestershire County Council.

It would ask that if you have evidence of numbers of caravans or exact locations that you send it via email to admin@cdpc.org.uk

Please do not approach and report to the Police, Leicestershire County Council or CDPC

Castle Donington Traffic Problem

Castle Donington Traffic Problem

After a large number of complaints about worsening of the traffic problems through Castle Donington the Parish Council has the following information.

The increase in traffic problems is due to the change in layout at J24. The A50 eastbound has changed and now has only one lane open. This means 3 lanes of traffic filter into one lane causing increased queuing on the A50.

Green Shoots grants

As part of the Green Footprints Challenge, NWLD are offer Green Shoots grants to help communities brighten up their areas in spring.

This year's programme is now open for 2018 and will close on 10 August 2018. In 2017 we had sixteen different groups/parish councils apply for a total of 58,000 bulbs.
