There is still no clear guidance on social gatherings in large numbers, so it is unclear which events later this year will be able to take place. Once clear guidance is available notices will be given as which events may still happen!

The Parish Council is working with the government guidelines to "hopefully" be able to open the Community Hub as soon as the legislation will allow it to. Additional sanitizer stations are being purchased, signage reminding people as what is necessary to do (handwashing/social distance), screens to protect the public and staff and volunteers, etc.

Works to the car park are being undertaken to improve access for all users.
Works to the playing fields pitches are being planned. This will mean that access to certain areas will be restricted to give long term benefit for all.

We are looking, and hoping, to re-launch the facilities at the Community Hub once Lockdown (September time?) has been lifted sufficiently to allow these sorts of facilities to be re-opened. A new idea for the young ones is a Stay and Place session on a Saturday once a month (to start with). The Village Hall Trustees and Committee had approached the Parish Council and asked whether it would take on the responsibility and running of the Village Hall under the similar remit as it is currently. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus Pandemic the public meeting to discuss this was cancelled. All parties are looking at how to progress this during these uncertain times.

The Parish Council is looking to re-start Parish Council meetings using the virtual method of Zoom. Details of how to join the meetings will be published when the agenda is published. First meeting using this method will be 25 June 2020. Further updates on the website.

It was with regret that the Parish Council had to cancel VE Day May Market and Music in the Park; it is still hoping that the events later in the year may happen but will have to await government guidance. Further updates will follow on the website and Facebook
