Temporary Lights on Park Lane

The temporary lights on the Park Lane junction are there due to emergency works carried out by Severn Trent Water.

The Parish Council has been in contact with Leicestershire County Council and they have confirmed that the works should be completed and the temporary lights removed by the end of today.

We're ready to grit county roads whenever freezing conditions or snow are forecast.

The council has a pre-winter stock of 14,500 tonnes of salt located at 5 depots around the county.

When the temperatures start to fall we work 24/7 to monitor the roads and our 17 gritters are sent out day and night when conditions dictate.

Works to A50 Roundabout - POSTPONED

Postponed - Essential Maintenance on the A50 Junction 1 Roundabout, Donington

We have had to postpone the above maintenance work due to unforeseen circumstances.

The surfacing work will be done later in the year; however, we need to refresh the roadmarkings as soon as possible. Details will follow as soon as they become available.
