Castle Donington Parish Council has spoken to various authorities and bodies, read copious guidance on Covid-19 considering its responsibilities in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic and has, with deep regret, cancelled the key usual village events for the remainder of 2020, including the Annual Wakes, Remembrance Parade and Christmas Cheer.

It was with regret that the Parish Council had to cancel VE Day May Market and Music in the Park; it is still hoping that the events later in the year may happen but will have to await government guidance. Further updates will follow on the website and Facebook

Park Lane Closure

The Parish Council recently contacted Leicestershire County Council following a resident enquiry asking when Park Lane would re-open close to the relief road. Below is the response received -
